Thank goodness that I avoided this stereotype:
Because, frankly, I don't want to be that one where people sigh when I raise my hand.
If you haven't guessed, I just had my first in-class course in about 10 years.
Which means, that everyone there is probably half my age.
And they could all, most likely, be my children.
Wow.
And the funny thing is, I don't look my age.
I look THEIR age.
So, I'm sure the instructor saw no difference between me and my constituents.
The first day, though, was quite hectic.
I had an instructor with a "go-getter" attitude towards teaching.
This, along with my absolute novice approach to the subject at hand, made me feel really intimidated.
Usually, in these situations, I would just step aside.
But, seeing that this is a CLASS, I can't exactly do that.
So, I stuck it through.
All the fresh faces looked as though they were just as bewildered as I was.
So, we all resolved to read more.
Prepare.
And be ready for the next class!
